The first sensible television to the smile is born from the spectator
The hours of boredom in front of the “ idiot box ” finished. The artist David Hedberg has invented the Smile TV, the first television that only works if the spectator smiles.

For it, the creation of Hedberg uses as a software of face recognition that detects the expression and face characteristics of the spectator while it watches. When the user loses the smile the television stops working.

The objective of this original proposal is to make more effective the relation between the television and the spectator. “ nowadays, the question has stopped being if we can receive contents rather but if we are receptive ”, David Hedberg explains.

The television, of aspect retro and equipped with technology of face recognition, reframes the concept of commitment of the spectator and how this it accedes to the content.
